Finding Great Scrapbooking Albums
Scrapbooking is a great hobby to get into. There are so many different ways to create scrapbook pages that are fun, beautiful, and a great display for your photos. But where to put all of those beautiful pages? Scrapbooking albums, of course! The albums can become just as important as the content of the book when you are going for an all-over theme. Make sure you pick the right album to suit your scrapbooking needs.
Choosing the Album for You
There are many different types of scrapbooking albums, and depending on the kind of pages you are making, you will need to choose the correct type of scrapbook to display them in. The first choice you will have when looking for scrapbooking albums is the size of the album and the type of paper that fits in it. Scrapbooking albums come in t many different sizes.
There are mini albums that are great for when you are a beginner or if you want to get your children into the art of scrapbooking. Then there are the standard letter sized scrapbooking albums. These generally hold scrapbook pages that are the same size as a piece of copier paper. The next size is much larger, with room for square pages, about a foot long on all sides. Putting together the pages for a larger sized scrapbooking album is a little more daunting and might not be suitable for a beginner.
Once you have chosen the size of the scrapbooking album, the next thing to choose is the outside design. Most scrapbooks come in a variety of colors and textures. Some are even themed for those common special events, such as a graduation, anniversary, or baby book. It is important to choose a scrapbooking album that will go along with the theme or your pages. For example, if you have tropical themed pages, you would not want to choose a drab, boring scrapbooking album. Instead, you would want to find one that shares some of the vibrant colors that you have used in the pages.
Whether you choose your scrapbooking album before or after you have made your pages, just be sure that the ideas are similar. If they match, it will make the whole package better to look at. When the outside of the scrapbook is just as interesting as the inside, more people will want to look at it and share in your memories. There is nothing like a great scrapbooking album, inside and out.
